Army Assists in Clearing Rockfall for Two-Way Traffic on Prithvi Highway

Kathmandu. Two-way traffic has been brought into operation by breaking hard rocks with the help of the Nepali Army on the damaged road section at Shital Bazaar in Dhading along the Prithvi Highway.
The road had been damaged by erosion due to the flood in the Trishuli River on Bhadra 14, 2083, and had been operating as one-way only. The Nagdhunga-Mugling Road Project has stated that the work of removing approximately 55 meters of hard rock on the cliffside to make the road smooth and two-way again has been successfully completed.
