Nepali Congress candidate elected Galkot mayor, Maoist Centre bags deputy

Kathmandu, 16 May (2022) - Bharat Sharma Gaire of Nepali Congress has been elected mayor for the second tenure of Galkot Municipality in Baglung district.
Gaire polled 5,414 votes to win the election. His nearest rival Purna Bahadur Kaucha of CPN-UML got 3,519 votes.
