Passenger transport, cargo fare up

The passenger transport fare increased by 5.30 percent. For the cargo carriers playing on Tarai and hills routes, the fare has been hiked by 7.7 percent and 6.94 percent, respectively.

With a steep hike in fuel prices, fares of public transport and cargo have also gone up with immediate effect as per the government’s auto-fare mechanism.
