Jyoti Bhandari Elected President of Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City Nepali Congress Committee

Butwal. Jyoti Bhandari has been elected as the President of the Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City Committee of the Nepali Congress in its 15th General Convention. Bhandari was elected President by securing 411 votes in the election. His competitor Jit Bahadur Malla received 226 votes. Ganesh Ghimire has been elected as the Vice-President of the City Committee. Ghimire received 349 votes while his competitor Teerthraj Kafle got 257 votes. Female Vice-President Ganga Panthi has been elected. Panthi received 380 votes while Karuna Malla received 239 votes. Similarly, Engineer Arjun Giri has been elected as the Secretary. Giri received 349 votes while his competitor Rameshprasad Adhikari received 220 votes. Narayan Khanal has been elected as the Joint Secretary. Khanal received 304 votes while Suryaprasad Kafle received 264 votes. Sagun Pun and Dr. Santoshprasad Dhakal have been elected as Youth Open Members. Bhandari and Malla had filed their candidacies by creating separate panels for the leadership of the Butwal City Committee. Election Officer Jivnarayan Adhikari informed that 648 votes were cast out of 669 voters in the City Committee election.
