Kathmandu. Nepal's Rubbin Maharjan and Sanyog Kapali have been eliminated from the first round in the men's singles of table tennis under the 20th Asian Games being held in Japan. On Thursday, in the match held at Sky Hall Toyota, Rubbin lost to Macao's Tin Ian Mak 4-1, and Sanyog lost to Yemen's Ibrahim Gubran with the same score of 4-1.

Rubin lost the first set 5-11 in the beginning. However, he showed signs of returning to the game by securing an impressive 11-3 victory in the second set. After that, the Macao player found his rhythm and won the third set 11-9, the fourth 11-4, and the decisive fifth set 12-10.
