Weather Forecast: Monsoon and Western Winds Influence Nationwide

Kathmandu. Currently, there is a partial influence of monsoon winds along with western winds across the country, the Meteorological Forecasting Division has stated. Additionally, a strong low-pressure system in the Bay of Bengal is located around India's North Andhra Pradesh and South Odisha. This system is expected to initially maintain its intensity as a strong low-pressure area and move north-westwards, and then is likely to weaken gradually while moving north-northwestwards over the next 12 hours.

Currently, most of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Karnali provinces are cloudy, while Sudurpaschim Province has partly cloudy skies. Light rainfall is occurring in many places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and in one or two places in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
