Palpa Landslides Cause Damage, One Missing

Palpa. Heavy damage has been caused in Palpa due to landslides triggered by continuous rainfall. Houses have been destroyed, roads are blocked in various parts of the district, and one person is missing. Two houses in Gholphan, Ribdikot Rural Municipality-6, Dhustung, were completely damaged by a landslide that occurred this afternoon.

Due to continuous rain, mud and stones flowed from the new motor road constructed above the houses, causing the temporary houses of local Kesuram Sarumagar and Rambahadur Uchai to be swept away by the landslide, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhimlal Bhattarai, Information Officer at the District Police Office.
