Heavy Snowfall Blankets Mustang and Other Himalayan Districts, Disrupting Transport

Mustang. Heavy snowfall has been recorded in various parts of Mustang since Tuesday night. The hills and mountains here are completely white. Rain has also occurred in most places.

Due to the heavy snowfall, the Kagbeni-Korala road has been obstructed. Snow accumulation has exceeded two feet in some locations. Roshan Thakali, Chief of the Agriculture Branch of Gharpaunjo Rural Municipality, stated that the snowfall has raised hopes for better yields of crops such as apples, barley, buckwheat, wheat, and potatoes.
