Manang's Chame and surrounding areas suffer major damage due to floods and landslides

Pokhara. Continuous rain, floods and landslides have caused great damage to Manang's headquarters Chame and surrounding areas. Mud has entered settlements due to floods in Thado Khola and Marsyangdi River, and some houses have been washed away by landslides.

According to locals, 5 houses were washed away. When the flood entered the settlement, the locals fled to the jungle and safe hills at night. Contact with Chame has been cut off for 3 days. Communication, which was cut off, has been re-established a while ago. Movement has been completely stopped as floods and landslides have washed away the main bridges connecting Chame.
