Kaligandaki River Flood Submerges 80 Houses in Parbat

Parbat. About 80 houses have been washed away in Pharse of Jaljala Rural Municipality-8 in Parbat after the floodwaters of the Kaligandaki River entered the settlement. Police said that locals moved to safer places after the floodwaters started entering the settlement from Saturday night. However, it is not yet certain whether there has been any human casualties.

Upon receiving information that other houses were also at high risk from the flood, a joint team of Armed Police Force Nepal No. 25 Chandika Battalion Parbat and Nepal Police has relocated local residents and movable goods to a safe place.
