Air Traffic Management Disrupted at Tribhuvan International Airport Due to Adverse Weather

Kathmandu. Air traffic management at Tribhuvan International Airport has become chaotic due to the continuous adverse weather in various parts of the country, including the Kathmandu Valley.

Although there has been a gradual improvement in the weather recently, domestic and international flights have been severely affected due to insufficient visibility. According to the airport office, a minimum visibility of 5,000 meters is required for the Visual Flight Rules (VFR) system, which relies on visual observation for flight, to be implemented.
