Asian Games Cricket Quarterfinals Washed Out Due to Rain, India and Pakistan Advance

Kathmandu. Both quarterfinal matches of the men's cricket in the ongoing 20th Asian Games in Japan have been canceled due to rain. The quarterfinal matches between India-Afghanistan and Pakistan-Hong Kong scheduled for Monday were canceled without a single ball being bowled due to rain. Due to continuous rain, the ground was not in a playable condition, so even a toss could not take place in both matches.

India was scheduled to play against Afghanistan, which secured a place in the quarterfinals by becoming the runner-up of Group 'A'. India had entered the quarterfinals as the top-seeded team in the tournament.
