Bhutan Certified Rabies-Free; Nepal Faces Challenges

The World Health Organization has certified Bhutan as a country that has completely eradicated rabies transmitted from dog bites to humans. With this, Bhutan has become the first country in Southeast Asia to achieve this historic success.

On the other hand, although Nepal has set a target to reduce human deaths from dog bites due to rabies to zero by 2030, it has not been able to achieve effective results so far, and challenges are increasing.
