Pregnant Woman Gives Birth on Road in Baglung

Baglung. A pregnant woman has given birth to a baby on the road in Badigad, Baglung. Sarita Thapa, 25, a resident of Badigad Rural Municipality-3, gave birth on the way while being carried in a doko to the health post after being struck by labor pains.

Women’s health volunteer Tara Thapa informed that she gave birth on the way while being taken to the health post in a doko on Sunday morning as the road was blocked due to floods and landslides. Although the family called volunteer Thapa to their home around 2:00 AM on Saturday night as there was no mobile network and internet, she stated that she could not reach there due to the road.
