Roads Affected by Rain, Landslides, Floods Across Nepal

Kathmandu. Continuous rain, floods, and landslides in various parts of the country have severely affected major highways and auxiliary road sections. According to the latest data from the Nepal Police, vehicular movement has been completely obstructed on most highways.

In Kathmandu Valley and Bagmati Province, the Kanti Lokpath and Tikabhairav-Charghare road sections in Lalitpur are completely closed due to landslides. Although one-way traffic has been resumed on the Krishnabhir and Chalise sections of the Prithvi Highway in Dhading after clearing landslides, movement in Dhading and surrounding areas has been stopped until further notice for security reasons. Similarly, all major highways in Rasuwa are blocked due to floods, and the Hetauda-Bhaise-Bhimfedi-Phakhel-Kathmandu road section in Makwanpur is completely blocked by landslides. One-way traffic has been resumed on the BP Highway in Kavre.
