Sikta Irrigation Project Expands Canals in Banke

Banke. The under-construction Sikta Irrigation Project in Banke has started expanding branch and sub-branch canals to bring water to farmers' fields.

To provide additional irrigation facilities in the Khajura and Baijanath rural municipality areas, land acquisition process has been advanced in various places in Banke for the construction of Gurwagaun branch and sub-branch canals under the western main canal of the project, informed Project Director Raju Acharya.
