Autumn Season Sees 637 Climbers Obtain Permits for 18 Himalayan Peaks

Kathmandu. 637 people have obtained permission to climb 18 Himalayan peaks in the autumn season. According to the Department of Tourism, 637 climbers from 68 teams have obtained permission to climb various Himalayan peaks of Nepal in the autumn season of 2026.

Information Officer of the Department, Suraj Ghimire, informed that 474 men and 163 women have obtained climbing permits for climbing 18 Himalayan peaks. The department has collected royalty of NPR 238,517,797 from the climbers in return for granting climbing permits.
