Karnali Province Collects Over NPR 35 Crore in Revenue from Transport Offices in FY 2082/83

Surkhet. More than NPR 35 crore in revenue has been collected from the transport offices of Karnali Province in the fiscal year 2082/83. A total of NPR 35 crore eight lakh 43 thousand 590 in revenue has been collected from the Surkhet, Jumla, and Rukum Paschim transport offices under the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Urban Development of Karnali Province.

In terms of districts, the highest revenue of NPR 29 crore 56 lakh nine thousand 410 was collected from the Transport Management Office Surkhet, informed Arjun Kumar Bam, Secretary of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Urban Development. Similarly, approximately NPR 2 crore was collected from Jumla and NPR 3 crore 57 lakh 91 thousand 650 from Rukum Paschim, he stated. According to him, the main basis for revenue collection is vehicle tax, and the contribution of vehicle tax to the total revenue is 87.46 percent.
