Machinery deployed to clear blocked Marsyangdi river in Chame

Authorities are widening the river channel to protect homes and a motorable bridge threatened by the rising flow.

Efforts are underway to clear the Marsyangdi river, which was partially blocked by mud, silt and debris brought down by floods and landslides in Chame, the district headquarters of Manang.
