Nepali Congress Postpones 15th General Convention by Two Days

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress has postponed its 15th General Convention by two days. Acting Chief Secretary of the Congress Central Office, Krishnaprasad Dulal, issued a statement on Tuesday informing that it has been postponed by 2 days. The Congress General Convention, which was previously scheduled to start from Ashoj 16, will now be held on Ashoj 18 at 2 PM at Kathmandu's Khulamanch. The statement signed by Chief Secretary Dulal reads, 'Ward, rural municipality, and municipality conventions under the 15th General Convention have been completed, and provincial assembly regional conventions and house of representatives regional conventions are being completed.' The statement mentions that due to the adverse situation created by continuous rainfall in various parts of the country, the regional convention and general convention representative selection process are still ongoing in some constituencies, as received from the Election Committee and the party's various levels of working committees.
