US Imposes New Tariffs on Canadian Imports Amid Trade Tensions

Kathmandu. Amidst growing trade tensions between the United States and Canada, the US has implemented new restrictions on various products imported from Canada, including alcohol, starting Tuesday. US President Donald Trump had announced the ban earlier this month.

The restrictions include beer, sparkling wine, brandy, sake, and other alcoholic beverages, as well as dairy whey protein and high-capacity motorcycles. The US took this latest step after Canada imposed retaliatory tariffs of approximately $20 billion USD on American exports on September 8.
