Man Arrested for Attempting to Set Woman on Fire in Jhapa

Jhapa. Police have arrested a man who tied the hands and feet and neck of a young woman living in a rented room in Birtamod Municipality-5 and attempted to set her on fire by sprinkling petrol on her body.

The attempt to take her life was made by 42-year-old Dilip Chandra Rai, a resident of Rong Rural Municipality-3, Ilam, who was living in a rented room in Birtamod, on the night of October 12th, after entering the room of 22-year-old Ravina Magar, who was living in a rented room in Birtamod.
