Monsoon weakens, yet heavy downpour likely in Koshi, Gandaki tonight

KATHMANDU, Aug 20: Nepal’s monsoon has started to weaken as the seasonal trough has shifted further south of its usual position, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD). Despite the shift, moisture-laden winds from the Bay of Bengal continue to influence the country’s weather.
