Nepal Police Report Multiple Highway Blockades Due to Landslides and Floods

Kathmandu. Nepal Police has informed that various main highways of the country are blocked due to floods and landslides. According to the police, Kanti Lokpath in Bagmati Rural Municipality of Lalitpur has been completely blocked due to landslides since July 28.

Similarly, the Arniko Highway has been completely shut down due to landslides in various places in Bhote Koshi Rural Municipality of Sindhupalchok. The Lamasangu-Ramechhap road in Dolakha and the Trishuli-Mailung-Syaphrubesi road section in Rasuwa are also completely blocked due to floods, although efforts are being made to operate traffic via an alternative route in Dolakha.
