Trump Orders Federal Forces Not to Intervene in Democratic-Led City Protests Unless Requested

Washington D.C. -- U.S. President Donald Trump has ordered federal security agencies not to intervene in protests occurring in cities led by the Democratic Party. Federal security agencies have been instructed not to intervene unless local administrations formally request assistance.

In a message released on his social media platform Truth Social on Saturday, Trump directed Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, stating that they would "under no circumstances participate in Democratic city protests unless they themselves request assistance."
