Six-Year Delayed Bridge Construction Halts in Kavrepalanchok

Kavrepalanchok. The under-construction concrete bridge over the Sun Koshi River at Chehre, connecting Kavrepalanchok and Sindhupalchok, has been in a dilapidated state for six years due to the construction entrepreneur not completing the work within the stipulated time.

The bridge construction was contracted in August 2077 BS with the objective of providing road access to various wards and settlements in Bhumlú Rural Municipality of Kavrepalanchok. The citizens of Bhumlú are facing hardship due to the construction entrepreneur not completing the bridge work on time. The contract for bridge construction was signed between the Department of Roads and Amar Construction on August 10, 2077 BS.
