NIA introduce new insurance claim procedure for Bhotekoshi flood victims

Kathmandu, Sept 30: The Nepal Insurance Authority (NIA) has introduced a simplified procedure to expedite the settlement of insurance claims of policyholders affected by the Bhotekoshi flood in Rasuwa and neighbouring districts.

Under the ‘Rasuwa Flood Claim Settlement Abbreviated Procedure, 2083,’ insurance companies can settle technically uncomplicated claims of up to Rs. 500,000 without appointing a surveyor, provided sufficient evidence is available and the claim is covered by the policy.
