US Senate Rejects Report on Deaths of Americans in West Bank

Washington DC. The US Senate rejected a proposal to demand a report from President Donald Trump's administration on the killing of nine American citizens in the occupied West Bank and the abuse of Palestinian children in Israeli military custody.

The proposal was rejected in a vote on Tuesday with 47 votes in favor and 53 against, with senators voting mainly along party lines. The proposal, presented to Congress by Democratic Senator Chris Van Hollen of Maryland, cited the 'lack of accountability' of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government and the US government's 'inability to deliver justice'.
