Nepali Karate Team Returns Home After Asian Games and International Championship

Kathmandu. The Nepali karate team, including karate player Tenzing Sherpa who won the first medal for Nepal in the ongoing 20th Asian Games in Japan, has returned home. The Nepali team, which participated in the 20th Asian Games held in Nagoya, Japan from September 20 to 23 and the 11th Shitoryu Karate-do International Championship held in Yokohama from September 25 to 27, landed at Tribhuvan International Airport on Tuesday night.

A total of eight players from Nepal, three men and five women, competed in both competitions. All eight players who participated in the Asiad also competed in the Shitoryu Karate competition held in Yokohama afterwards.
