Parliament Meeting Discusses Ban on Rs 1000 and Rs 500 Notes

Kathmandu. The issue of banning one thousand and five hundred rupee notes has entered the meeting of the House of Representatives. The issue gained traction in the parliament after National Independent Party (NIP) MP Yagyamani Neupane demanded a ban on notes to control the black money accumulated in the country.

MP Neupane accused those in power for the past 35 years of illegally accumulating wealth and hoarding black money. Stating that the country's economy has been negatively affected due to black money, he demanded that one thousand and five hundred rupee notes be stopped immediately.
