Advance Ticket Booking Delayed Due to Road Damage

Kathmandu. Due to damage to major highways across the country caused by continuous rain and landslides, advance ticket booking for public transport for Dashain will be delayed for some time. Nepal Transport Entrepreneurs National Federation Chairman Punyaprasad Sitaula (Saroj) said that advance tickets cannot be opened until the road condition is safe.

Chairman Sitaula said that their main priority is to transport passengers safely to their destinations rather than issuing tickets. 'Last year, tickets were opened after pressure from all sides, but passengers were forced to stay on the road for three days due to road damage. We are alert this year to prevent such a situation,' he said.
