Herbal Production Company Employees Protest for Benefits and Court Order Implementation

Kathmandu. Monthly wage employees of the state-owned Herbal Production and Processing Company have been protesting for 20 days demanding various services and implementation of court rulings. The employees have been protesting since Bhadra 24, demanding the implementation of the Social Security Fund, payment of festival allowances, and the implementation of the Labor Court Bhaktapur's decision.

Most of the protesting employees are from the production branch, and the company's production has been completely shut down since Assoj 5. Initially, the employees worked with black armbands from Bhadra 24, but when the management ignored their demands, they started a regular sit-in protest from Assoj 5. Approximately 30 employees report to work at 10 AM and then sit in protest for the rest of the office hours.
