Stop Assaulting Medics

The beating of doctors or medics, sometimes black and blue, by the relatives of patients has been a recurring incident in Nepal. When a patient undergoing treatment suddenly experiences worsening conditions, or when the worst happens, those involved in the treatment are falsely held responsible. However, just over six years ago, when the raging COVID-19 pandemic was ravaging the world, they were hailed as the saviours globally. This contrast of viewing doctors as either supra-human or sub-human is really striking.
