Increase Women's Role In Foreign Service

One of the nine fundamental international human rights treaties is the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), 1979. The Committee for the Elimination of Discrimination against Women oversees the Convention. Additionally, it issues General Recommendations and considers submissions from individuals who believe their rights under CEDAW have been violated according to the Optional Protocol. In 1991, Nepal ratified the Convention, and after years, on 15 June 2007, Nepal recognised its Optional Protocol Articles 8 and 9 and acceptance of individual complaints.
