Kuchbadhiya Community's Traditional Livelihood Threatened by Modern Technology

Banke. With the development of modern technology, the traditional occupation of the endangered Kuchbadhiya community is facing a crisis.

Arjun Kuchbadhiya, a resident of Indrapur, Janki Rural Municipality-3, Banke, said that his ancestral occupation of making and selling grinding stones (silauto) and traditional grinding stones (janto) is facing a crisis as mixer machines have started being used in cities and villages.
