National Assembly Forms Special Committee for Disaster Risk Reduction

Kathmandu. The National Assembly meeting today formed a nine-member special committee to study the risks, damages, and rehabilitation of disasters in the Bhote Koshi and Kaligandaki corridors and recommend a roadmap for long-term risk reduction.
At the meeting, National Assembly Chairman Narayan Prasad Dahal informed about the formation of the 'Bhote Koshi and Kaligandaki Corridor Disaster Study and Monitoring Parliamentary Special Committee'. The committee includes Krishna Prasad Poudel, Gita Devkota, Ghanshyam Rizal, Shree Krishna Prasad Adhikari, Samjhana Devkota, Somnath Poudel, Pooja Chaudhary, and Tulsi Prasad Bishwakarma as members. One member will be added later.
