Supreme Court Halts Sujal Foods' 'Candyman' Trademark Infringement

Kathmandu. The Supreme Court has foiled the malicious attempt of Sujal Foods Pvt. Ltd., which sought to establish its dominance in Nepal by making an exact replica of the well-known brand 'Candyman' of the multinational company ITC Limited.

According to the Supreme Court's recently published verdict, Sujal Foods not only lost the trademark dispute but it was also revealed how an established domestic industry deceived consumers for years by stealing a brand that had already been created.
