Dhodara Chandani Suspension Bridge Collapses, Locals Express Dismay

Mahendranagar. Former ward member of Dodhara Chandani Municipality-4, 77-year-old Bhim Bahadur Singh, was found observing the collapsed suspension bridge on the Mahakali river bank on Wednesday. He was active in ferrying locals across the Mahakali river by boat until 2060 BS, and turned to business after the suspension bridge connecting Dodhara Chandani was built.

There was no major flood in the Mahakali on Wednesday morning. Suddenly, the third pillar on the Dodhara Chandani side out of eight pillars collapsed, stopping traffic. Now, like Bhim Bahadur, many citizens of Dodhara are in despair.
