Kathmandu. The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) is busy preparing for two major upcoming tournaments: the ICC U-19 Women's World Cup and the third edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL). Nepal will be hosting the ICC U-19 Women's World Cup, scheduled to be held in Poush, for the first time. The third edition of the NPL is scheduled to start from Kartik. CAN Vice-President Roshan Bahadur Singh informed Rasas that the work to upgrade the Tribhuvan University (TU) Cricket Ground in Kirtipur and the Mulpani Cricket Ground, along with the necessary infrastructure, is being expedited with both tournaments in focus.

He stated that efforts are underway to organize the grounds in view of the upcoming international tournaments. He added that necessary preparations are being made to avoid the recurrence of spectator and management-related issues seen in previous editions of the NPL.
