Hydroelectric Project Halted Due to Flood Damage in Myagdi

Myagdi. The Relekhola Hydropower Project in Narchyang, Annapurna Rural Municipality-4, Myagdi, has been shut down after floodwaters entered the 'intake' (dam).

The 6 MW capacity project, promoted by Hyum Consult Pvt. Ltd., has completely stopped electricity production after the dam located at the foot of Relekharka was damaged by floodwaters. According to Project Chief Darshanik Kafle, electricity production has been completely halted due to the continuous rain and flood and landslides from Asauj 8 to 11.
