Election Commission Discusses Voting Arrangements for Overseas and Inter-District Nepali Citizens with Political Parties

Kathmandu. The Election Commission is preparing to reach a conclusion by discussing with various political parties for the arrangement of voting for Nepali citizens residing abroad and inter-district voting. For that, the commission has organized a discussion today, Friday, at the central office in Kathmandu with leaders of political parties represented at all three levels.

Information Officer of the Commission, Suman Ghimire, informed that leaders from more than 40 parties have been called for the discussion which will start after 11:30 AM. Besides that, the commission and the parties will also discuss the use of information technology in election management. Information Officer Ghimire stated that the discussion is being held in accordance with the provisions of Section 47 of the Political Parties Act, 2073.
