Kathmandu. The ranking of Tribhuvan University (TU), Nepal's largest and oldest university, has seen a continuous decline in its international academic ranking. In the latest university ranking for 2027 by Times Higher Education (THE), which evaluates universities worldwide, TU has been placed in the 1801–2000 group. TU, which was in the 1501 group a year ago, has fallen further in the latest edition.
