Disabled Dalit Couple Living in Cattle Shed for 15 Years

Bajura Oct 2: A physically disabled Dalit couple in Himali Rural Municipality–5, Rugin, Bajura, has been living in a cattle shed belonging to others for the past 15 years, with no land to build a home or grow food.

Fifty-five-year-old Dal Bahadur Damai and his wife, Panchu Damai, have survived for years by working on the farmland of local landowners. Both were born with disabilities and have no property of their own.
