Gen Z's Message to Nepali Politics: A Call for Change

The Gen Z movement has sent a serious message to Nepali politics. This was not just an outcry seen on the streets. It was a generational question raised by the new generation about the long-established political style, leadership, and performance of the parties. Its impact was also seen in electoral politics. Politics going forward cannot be understood by ignoring the dissatisfaction and protest of the youth towards established parties including Congress.

This issue is even more serious for Congress. Because the young generation is the biggest potential strength of Congress, but a large section of that generation expressed its dissatisfaction in favor of change instead of standing by Congress in the elections. It is not enough to understand this merely as an electoral result or a momentary political wave. There are serious questions within this about Congress's organization, leadership, working style, and relationship with the youth.
