Mahalaxmi Upadhyaya 'Dina' to Contest for General Secretary or Vice President in Nepali Congress's 15th General Convention

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress's former joint general secretary Mahalaxmi Upadhyaya 'Dina' has stated that she will contest for a post in the 15th General Convention. She is preparing to contest for either the post of General Secretary or Vice President.

After being elected as a general convention representative from Makwanpur Constituency Number-2 for the 15th General Convention with 832 votes, Dina stated that since she has already held the responsibility of joint general secretary, she will now contest for a higher post. 'Discussions are ongoing with all leaders and the leadership. My candidacy will be for the post of General Secretary or Vice President,' she said.
