Victims Demand Climate Justice in New Policy

Kathmandu. Victims affected by the impact of climate change have demanded that 'climate justice' be prioritized in the new climate policy being formulated by the government.

Although Nepal's role in carbon emissions is negligible, they have raised their voice to the international community for accountability and compensation against the irreparable damage suffered in areas like Bhote Koshi due to climate disasters. Their demand is that the concept of climate justice be placed at the center of national policy for the growing climate crisis in Nepal and for mitigating its effects.
