Journey to Rara Lake: Challenges and Serenity

There was a short three-day holiday, on the 19th, 20th, and 21st of Bhadra. There wasn't enough time to go home and return again. Moreover, news of landslides in various places on the Karnali Highway made the possibility of travel seem even more risky. The question of how to utilize the three days kept revolving in my mind.

After finishing teaching in class, a thought suddenly struck me, ‘Rara Lake’! As soon as the thought came, the mind started chasing it. Since it wasn't convenient for all the staff to go at once, I immediately proposed the idea to Ramesh Wali. He also gave a signal of agreement. I got approval from home. Head Sir (Tankadhwaj Khatri) also agreed with the plan. Finally, it was decided to start the journey if the weather permitted. And so began the journey from Shrinagar, Humla to Rara.
