Congress Leader Prakash Sharan Mahat Criticizes Party Leadership's Ideological Direction

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress dissident group leader and former co-general secretary Prakash Sharan Mahat has raised serious questions about the party leadership's working style and ideological direction. Speaking at an interaction program in Kathmandu on Saturday, Mahat accused the party of trying to take it in the style of Rastriya Swatantra Party by abandoning the party's established system and original ideology in the name of making Congress 'Congress 2.0'.
Leader Mahat stated that the Congress is losing its ideological identity, targeting party president Gagan Kumar Thapa and vice-president Biswa Prakash Sharma. He commented that advocating for 'Social Socialism' instead of 'Democratic Socialism' is following the policy of Rastriya Swatantra Party.
