British Gurkha veterans issue ultimatum to Nepal government over long-standing grievances

The veterans’ committee has set a December 31, 2026, deadline for progress on pay, pensions, recognition and other demands, warning it will resume protests and hunger strikes in Nepal and the UK if no agreement is reached.

The British Gurkha Satyagraha United Struggle Committee has issued an ultimatum to the Nepal government, calling for progress on what it describes as long-standing grievances over the pay, pensions, recognition and treatment of British Gurkha veterans.
