Nepali Congress Aims for Policy-Oriented 15th General Convention

Kathmandu. The Nepali Congress has stated that it has tried to advance its 15th General Convention as a 'policy selection' convention. While providing information about the preparations for the general convention at a press conference at Khula Manch, the inauguration site, Congress spokesperson Devraj Chalise said that efforts have been made to advance the general convention as a 'policy selection' convention, not just as a leader selection convention. He said this would help make the Congress institutional and strong.

Spokesperson Chalise mentioned that before the nomination papers are filed, the supreme body of the general convention will discuss and decide on the amendment proposal of the constitution, and the final authority to add, reduce, or amend posts according to the proposal prepared by the constitution amendment committee and brought by the central committee will rest with the general convention hall.
